Montgomery County, IL 163 Acres

Location and layout

Conveniently located between Springfield, IL and St. Louis, MO this farm offers easy access off of Interstate 55.

About 30 acres are tillable planted to corn this year with the remainder made up of wooded draws that roll gently down to a creek bottom. The tillable is near the road and broken up into three separate fields. The timber ties into a vast block of connecting timber that stretches for miles.

Hardwood timbered ridges sweep out of the tillable fields toward Long Branch Creek bottom to the east. Two intermittent creeks flow through the back of this farm.

There is a good amount of contour, with numerous ridges and ravines. The hillsides are not too steep, just enough to help define deer movement, making for great usability and visual appeal.

This farm has not been hunted in years so we are excited to see what shows up. Neighbors have confirmed that there are 180"+ deer in the area with this farm being like a sanctuary because it hasn't been hunted.

Like many of our farms, this farm started as a blank canvas.

The farm's holding power has been increased with a strategic timber harvest. Through the timber project, added access trails on each of the ridges so all parts of the farm are accessible.
