In 2019 we began our most ambitious project to date, a 638 acre hunting farm development in Cass County, Illinois. We went in and reclaimed 109 acres of tillable in the first month. After careful scouting and design we laid out miles of trail systems and 12 food plots.
Every plot was laid out in areas that made sense from a terrain and deer movement standpoint as well as access and overall farm flow. Then they were positioned to include hunt-able trees for different wind directions and shaped to funnel bucks through them to see does in hidden areas of the plot. All brush from the clearing was stacked in walls to force deer into the plots in strategic locations, consistently bringing them within bow range to maximize shot opportunities.
